Within the easy2read© product family, the Proton (Model R4320P) is a durable, long-range RAIN RFID reader that is ideal for deployments in industrial environments.

The Proton reader can be used to create RAIN RFID portals for logistics because it has four antenna connectors with a maximum power output of 31.5 dBm. Its IP65 protection allows installations in difficult environments or outdoors, and its compact form factor facilitates installation. The Proton is a perfect option for industrial automation and Industry 4.0 solutions because it has GPIOs, RS232, and Power Over Ethernet via industry standard M12 connectors.

With the help of an internal web interface, the Proton’s integrated Linux platform may be readily configured. By installing Java code that has access to all RFID features and interfaces, system integrators can fully customize the behavior of the reader.

The Proton reader is suitable for incorporation into devices that need to comply with many geographical regions because of its multiregional capabilities. It also conforms with and can function in both the European and US regulatory environments.
