When using non-metal mount RFID tags to put RFID tags on metal surfaces or items, keep in mind that the metal will detune any passive RFID tag that is not designed to be placed on metal. Reading, monitoring, and inventorying goods with tags that are specifically calibrated to the materials you need to track is easier and provides a wider read range. Metal mount RFID tags are usually tough, hard to destroy, and simple to weld, screw, or otherwise attach.
